Well, the time has come to announce the winner of ~The-MARS-Club "Medieval MARS" contest! The winner is. . . *drumroll* #1 Sandcastles by ~mad-libbs!! COngratulations ~mad-libbs, as well as all other participants. We had a nice selection for our first contest and hopefully this will remain.

This next contest should be pretty easy, but it is up to your imagination what it is about. The theme is "Post-Series MARS". This means that whatever your deviation is - whether a comic, a mere picture of the children of a random pairing (along with a babysitter or their parents), or maybe just a high school reunion - it doesn't matter as long as it takes place after book 15.

Must be a member to submit a deviation
Only one entry allowed per deviant.
Must contain at least one character from the MARS series
The deviation must take place at least one year after Kira and Rei are married
No mature content, please

The voting rules will be displayed when it is time for voting.

Contest begins Sunday, October 1st.
Entries can be submitted until Friday, November 24th.

Hooray! We have finally reached our goal of *25* members as of today. That means it is contest time!! This contest’s theme is called “Medieval MARS”. This is a contest where you can draw one picture in any genre, as long as it has one or more of the MARS cast in some type of Medieval setting. It doesn’t matter if they get sucked back in time to Medieval times, or it’s as if they lived then and there.

Some examples are;

Rei Kashino - A knight
Kira Aso - A princess
Masao Kirishima - An evil sorcerer

Those are just a few examples of what the characters can be. Here is a list of most, if not all, of the characters in the fifteen-book MARS series;

Hello and welcome to ~The-MARS-Club! This is a club where dedicated fans from all over the world come to commemorate the beautifully drawn, fifteen-book manga, MARS. Fuyumi Soryo, the author of MARS, not only is a talented artist, but also a brilliant storyteller. She knows how to capture the reader's attention and to keep them so entranced in the storyline, they have completely forgotten about the real world.

In this inspirational manga, we find Kira Aso; a shy art student, afraid of boys, and hated by her classmates. Rei, on the other hand, is a rebellious motorcycle racer with girls dropping left and right just to speak to him. What could these two seemingly opposite people have to do with each other?

Later, after Rei promises to protect Kira, she asks him to model for her. To everyone's surprise, he agrees. Afterwards, the lives of these two come closer and closer together as they battle out their personal demons and the pressure of their classmates. Through not only the good, but also the hard times, Kira and Rei learn not only to love each other, but themselves.

Hello, everyone! It's been a little while since I have updated the club, hasn't it? Don't worry, I haven't forgotten about this club; there's just been nothing to update. This is why I would like to ask everyone to please contribute some artwork. This club is dying little by little, and I don't want that to happen. Also, I would like to know if anyone would like another contest. I think that would help promote the club, but would anyone participate? Please send me your opinions on this matter in either a comment on this journal or a note to the club. Thank you very much!

I am so sorry! I know this club has kind of fallen apart in the past couple of months. I've been trying to think what I could do to revive it, but with nothing to upload and my artist's block I couldn't come up with anything. Sorry, guys. Don't worry, I won't close this club down.
